Swimming
At All Saints we are passionate about school swimming and believe in giving children the opportunity to learn to swim, giving them the skills to stay safe near water.
Years 4, 5 and 6 participate in lessons held at Park Club swimming pool. Year 6 swim weekly from September to Christmas, Year 5 from January to Easter and year 4 from April to Summer.
The lessons are provided by fully qualified swimming teachers, supported by an amazing team of staff and volunteers to ensure safety at all times. Lifeguards are on poolside throughout all sessions.
There is no cost for the swimming lessons, although we do ask for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the bus to the pool. Further details will be sent home at the start of the term.
Children will need a swimming costume/trunks, a swimming hat (available from the school office) and a towel. If your child would like to wear goggles, parents/carers will need to give permission (usually a tick box on School Gateway alongside bus payments)
Whether your child is a complete beginner or already participate in swimming lessons, all abilities are catered for in a safe and enjoyable environment.
If you have any further questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

sWimming safety
We are keen to share some swimming safety tips if you are on the beach, near rivers or participating in any water activities. During our school swimming lessons, we learn about water safety and self survival and hope the information will be useful for all members of the family during days out or holidays.
