The money raised by ASSA is used by the school in a number of ways - for example to provide additional classroom resources or larger equipment to be shared by the whole school; to fund one-off projects; and to fund ongoing school clubs.

2017/18
Total raised for the school in 2017/18 = £15,400 which has mainly been allocated for a major IT refurbishment as follows:
1) £5340 - 16 x Chrome books with trolley
2) £5500 - 2 x smartboards
3) £3797 - other laptop/ desktops/ computer screens
4) £763 - amount already allocated to existing projects (see below).
2016/17
Total raised for the school in 2016/17 = £15,500 which has been allocated as follows:
1) £1089 - Year 1 refurbishment contribution (specifically Kinerboxes, Rugs, Sofa, Trimmer) 2) £5515 – Smartboards 3) £225 - 'No Nonsense Spelling' Resource 4) £91 - Year 6 Leavers Autograph books 5) £1022 - Puzzle Challenge days x 2 6) £802 - Maths Materials (Tall Tray Unit, Material storage, Unifix cubes etc) and books 7) £7777 - KS1 Outdoor play equipment 8) £700 - Pantomime Note: total of above projects = £17,221: met by £15,500 contribution plus £958 rolled over from 2015/16 (below), plus £763 from ASSA fundraising year 2017/18 (as school spend aligns to their FY not school year) |
2015/16
We raised our best amount to date ever - £13,850. This has been used by the school as follows:
1) £7000 - contribution to Outdoor Play Equipment (new climbing frame) |
2) £245 - incubator of hatching chicks |
3) £1144 - classroom resources for Year 1 (ie pirate fort & pirates, playmat, fire fighters set, superheroes, dolls, clock kit, woodland village, hand bells, train, etc) |
3) £108 – a new set of 20 footballs |
4) £252 – classroom equipment for Year 4 (bookcase and trays) |
5) £111.60 - autograph books for Year 6 leavers |
6) £1390 - Flipchart Easels, Pads and Pens (1 per class) |
7) £175 - Whites Coaches for Choir |
8) £2466 for new Smartboard |
Total £12,892 spent by school FY end March 2017; carrying forward £958 |
2014/15
We had a very successful year, raising an amazing £13,100 for the school!
This money has been used by the school in various ways:
1) Refurbishing the Nursery classroom setting (£4,000)
2) New laptops and iPads, which the school is aiming to get into every class (£8,230)
3) Funding an incubator and hatching chicks, a foundation stage initiative which was enjoyed by the whole school (£270)
4) Sports equipment and kit for school teams (£400)
5) Birdfeeders, requested by the school Eco Council (£100)
6) Starter plants for the Seedlings club (£100)
