Reading stories with young children plays a vital part in their growth and development. It encourages listening and attention skills, builds vocabulary, develops language and communications skills and feeds their imagination. Spending time not only reading a story but talking about the pictures, characters and events in the story all contribute not only to their development but also to foster a love of reading.
